Smart Home/village/grid Control and Measure

The power to connect, disconnect and measure high voltage in real time is essential for all “smart” functionality.

For a home it would be to turn on heat and light, create schedules and merge it with sensory data (daytime light, temperature, movement etc). It will provide data for a user-friendly interface for the smartphone, and invoicing both ways based on readings per second.

This demo shows how a 230 Volt AC lamp is responding to the scenario created by a Lego model who represents micro producers of electricity from wind and solar. Its shows that RTW can respond to a low supply of power by negotiating with a load who has a buffer capacity (water-heater/ deep freezer) to turn off during peak demand periods. And disconnects the house micro grid for the larger grid during a power out scenario.
